Support and push Startups to Medium black businesses in the right direction
UK Population
The total UK population is 66.97 million and Black people make up roughly 3.7% of that number which is roughly 2.4 million people. According to .Gov.UK, only 69% of the black population are employed which is noted as just over one million people.
Medium Sized Businesses
Research would suggest only 200 medium sized businesses are owned by black people in the UK.
Community
In 2020 it was reported by Business in the Community, (BITC) that across the private sector in the UK, only 1.5% of senior roles are held by black people, showing an increase of 0.1 from 2014 – total growth in 6 years being .01% is terrible.
Economic
Business led by black owners would not only address the disproportionate economic wealth while also contributing to the economy of black families, self-esteem alongside the overall British economy.
